Earlier this year, Jessy Mendiola has captured the eye of the netizens when she won the FHM title last year. But then, after her title, she became the middle of criticsms and other people started body shaming her.
She was once bashed by the netizens when she got concerned within the relationship of Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin.
The controversies that surrounded her almost made Jessy Mendiola quit showbiz.
According to Chisms: “In a television interview with entertainment reporter MJ Felipe aired over ABS-CBN TV Patrol, Jessy admitted that she considered quitting showbiz if not for the encouragements she received from Direk Johnny Manahan and Luis Manzano.”
Jessy said: “He told me do not give up yet, you’re young and you have so much to do pa. Kahit nga si Luis sinasabi sa akin na huwag mag-give up.”
Jessy added: “It’s just yung feeling na you’ve been so beaten up and you just want to get away from everything. You just have to learn how to rest and not to quit.”
Sources then got Jessy Mendiola’s statments from a tweet by TV Patrol dated May 23, 2017. The tweet also had a picture of Jessy Mendiola being interviewed.
Jessy Mnediola received so much flak to the point that even the Miss universe Pia Wurtzbach came to defend her. Pia said: “Seriously though, enough w/ the Jessy Mendiola hate. Confident Filipinas should be celebrated, not condemned.”
