Senator Manny Pacquiao on Monday defended PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
In an interview with press, Pacquiao said other “corrupt” activities should be investigated rather than focusing in the free ticket that he gave for the family of the PNP Chief. He cited the management of Yolanda rehabilitation funds that allegedly misused.
He believes that the Ombudsman must investigate Yolanda funds misuse rather than focusing on her enemies because many of the victims are still suffering from the typhoon that devastated Visayas and Luzon.
The Ombudsman desired to probe Dela Rosa after the PNP Chief admitted that his trip together with his family in Las Vegas was shouldered by the Filipino champ.
Pacquaio said that there was nothing malicious in shouldering the expenses for the PNP Chief.
