Netizen to VP Robredo: ‘You are not better than Duterte’

It has not been a good season for Vice President Leni Robredo as she has been at the receiving end of criticisms from the public lately.

The most recent is when a certain Chito Pagsanghan expressed that VP Leni “not better” than President Rodrigo Duterte and that the pubic does not want Robredo to become president.

In a Facebook post Pagsanghan criticized Robredo for her public messages which according to Pagsanghan is “like clockwork” and that they “almost comes immediately after Duterte’s statements.”

Pagsangahan cited the comments made by Robredo after Duterte called former Colombian President Cesar Gaviria an “idiot.” The remark came after Gaviria wrote in a article that Duterte is “making a mistake” in his war on drugs.

Internationally recognizes paper, The New York Times, published the said article.

Robredo’s comment, according to Pagsanghan, “reeks so much of i-am-a-better-leader-than-that-foul-mouth-probinsyano-so-start-rallying-behind-me-please-oh-god-please sh*t.”

Pagsanghan defended Duterte saying despite his “imperfections and faults, he still is the better public servant, in the truests sense of the term.”

Read the his full statement:

In essence, there really is nothing wrong if vice president leni robredo gives her opinion in public, be it sensible or otherwise, solicited or not. everyone in this country has an opinion about almost anything under the sun, and because our democracy affords us the freedom of speech, everyone is entitled to speak his mind. the problem with her exercise of this specific right is her timing: almost all of her controversial opinions came immediately after president duterte’s statements, like clockwork—the latest one (regarding the statement made by the former president of colombia, in reference to the war on drugs being waged in the country) is no exception. to me, this reeks so much of i-am-a-better-leader-than-that-foul-mouth-probinsyano-so-start-rallying-behind-me-please-oh-god-please shit.

madam vice president (or is it vice pictorial, as what some of us have already started calling you): thanks for your opinion, but no, we don’t approve of your political party’s rumored plan to oust our duly elected president; you are not better than him; and we do not want you to become president! even with president duterte’s imperfections and faults, he is still the better public servant, in the truest sense of the term!

i hope you finally get this point.
