In Guangxi, a 92-year-old woman was lately discovered living inside a filthy pigpen. Reportedly, her son and daughter-in-law have kept her locked up in there for several years.

A disturbing video has gone viral on Chinese social media displaying the poor old woman and her squalid prison containing only a wooden board covered by an old quilt for her to sleep on.

The lady surnames Yang, looking dangerously frail, has been rescued in the pigpen and transported to a local hospital for therapy. Police are now investigating the matter and suspect the couple of maltreatment.

Luckily, the lady was found alive. This was not the case for one 90-year-old lady in Hunan in 2014 who had been locked away to get a month by her kids and starved to death.

Unfortunately in China, a pigpen is a popular location to help keep unwanted family members. Back in 2014, an 8-year-old girl in Sichuan province was rescued from a pigpen exactly where her mentally-ill mother kept her.
