Highest rated director Erik Matti finally break his silence about his controversial tweeter post about President Rodrigo Duterte.
Recently, Matti cursed the 16 million supporters of Duterte who elected him last presidential election , following his declaration of Martial Law in Mindanao to fight against the Maute group in Marawi City.
“In case you havent read my tweets before, I’ll express it again: “Sa lahat ng bumoto, putang ina nyo!” Isa pa: “Putang ina nyo!”

For this reason, his Facebook and Twitter accounts received plenty of curses from netizens.
The next day, May 25, he posted his message to all his bashers and said,
“There is certainly not wrong with being silent about things even when the country is within disarray. But to become silent nevertheless criticize people who speak up may be the height of apathy and cowardice.”
