Joshua Garcia gets rave reviews from MMFF screening committee for Vince & Kath & James

ABS-CBN teen actor Joshua Garcia has impressed some members of the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival screening committee after reviewing the film Vince & Kath & James where the actor is part of.

Garcia plays Vince in the movie which is Star Cinema’s official entry to this year’s festival.

According to Mae Paner aka Juana Change who’s one of the members of the committee, she had no idea who Garcia is but but confessed she was smitten by the performance of the teen actor.

“Sabi namin, ‘ano ang pangalan ng batang ’yan? Grabe!” Sabi namin, ‘future Papa P (Piolo Pascual) ’yan.” To the very end, hindi namin siya kilala pero we all fell in love with him. Sino ba ’yun? Si Vince sa Vince & Kath & James, OMG! Grabe, hindi ko siya kinaya. Parang crush ko na siya,”

Dr. Nicanor Tiongson, the hread of the selection committee agreed..
 
“This particular boy is really amazing. Napaka-intelligent ng approach niya sa acting, ’yung internalization niya, ’yung shift niya of emotion, amazing for somebody so young,” said Tiongson.

Vince & Kath & James is Star Cinema’s official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival this year. It stars Joshua Garcia, Ronnie Alonte, and Julia Barretto under the direction of Theodore Boborol.
