ABS-CBN’s primetime series Ang Probinsyano will be celebrating its first year on air this Wednesday, September 28.
The still unbeaten series is currently on its 259th episode making it the longest-runnng series on primetime in recent years. The Coco Martin-starrer soap was created for television by Rondel Lindayag under Dreamscape and directed by Malu Sevilla, Avel Sunpongco, and Toto Natividad.
Ang Probinsyano recorded its lowest tv rating on New Year’s eve (Pakay episode) with 26.8{6e61e1f96be97eb0eca0405e1f6d99cd396e0761d85cee12527d9028f026d76c} in Kantar Media while its highest tv rating recorded was on February 2 episode (Iligtas si Carmed) this year with 46.7{6e61e1f96be97eb0eca0405e1f6d99cd396e0761d85cee12527d9028f026d76c}
The series has guested more than 150 stars.

Ang Probinsyano was not a remake of the 1997 FPJ film of the same name. It was intended to run only for months but dues to its unprecedented success, the series was further extended and made more suitable for teleserye viewers.
