Three alleged members of the Maute group were arrested by the Philippine Coast Guard in Iloilo City Sunday.
The alleged Maute members were on board M/V St. Therese of Child Jesus by 2Go Travel from Cagayan de Oro and were bound for Manila, according to the vessel’s sea marshal.
The vessel had a stopover in Iloilo when the suspects were arrested.
Lt. Senior Grade Edison Diaz, acting station commander of Iloilo PCG, said the three were arrested by virtue of Arrest Order No. 2 issued by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.
The authorities refused to release the names of the arrested Maute suspects pending interrogation and validation.

Gumamit umano ito ng pekeng student ID ng Mindanao State University sa pangalang Alfaiz P.
Kasalukuyang nakadetine ito sa Camp Alagar ng PNP sa Cagayan de Oro.
Kabilang si Maute sa arrest order na inilabas ng Department of National Defense para sa higit 100 pinagsususpetsahang kasapi o nakikipagtulungan sa Abu Sayyaf, grupong Maute, Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, at grupong Maguid.
