In a series of tweets by Digital Rights Advocacy Lawyer Atty. Cecilia Soria, she slams President Rodrigo Duterte’s four-day absence by contrasting it with Jesus Christ saying, “Jesus, who ACTUALLY died, rose on the third day. Your president is just sleeping. And yet…#PresidentBatugan #Day4”.
The lawyer complains of Duterte’s downtime taking too long when crises are rising as a retort to Senator Sherwin Gatchalian’s tweet explaining that the President needs his rest and sleep because the Philippines needs him.
“Shouldn’t the fact that government is functioning in the midst of crises EVEN WHILE YOU ARE SLEEPING AND INCOMMUNICADO mean the opposite?” was Soria’s argument to the senator’s tweet.

She even cited Grace Poe as a point of contrast to further mock the President.
“In fairness, pati si Grace Poe eh babangon! Hahahah. #PresidentBatugan #Day4,” Soria said.

Soria further questioned if Duterte’s four-day downtime is subject to service-legal agreement (SLA) violations as she cited an ABS CBN news article that quoted the Palace saying they cannot say when Duterte will end downtime.
Some of her tweets even pointed out that if one’s beloved pet went missing for four days, one would be frantic to look for it, how much more if it was the President.
“Kahit yung aso mo, kapag nawala ng apat na araw eh hahanapin dapat. Presidente pa kaya? Hello???” Soria mocked.
