Not one to stay silent, anti-Duterte lawyer Jesus Falcis expressed his sentiments towards the recent appointment of Dr. Lorain Badoy as assistant secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Badoy’s appointment was confirmed by DSWD Secretary Judy Taquiwalo herslef iva text message to INQUIRER.net
Falcis claimed that he has predicted the appointment after the appointment of Mocha Uson as part of the board of the Movie and Television Review and Classifications Board (MTRCB).
In his Facebook page, Falcis stated, “Iba talaga nagagawa ng transactional politics at political patronage.” Badoy is a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte in social media and was part of the “social media defenders” whom he met last February 7 at the Malancanang Palace.
The lawyer recalled that during the electons, Badoy was rallying for Vice President Leni Robredo based on her arguments but after the polls, Badoy started to criticise the vice president.
“Wala naman nagbago kay Leni. Simple pa din si Leni. Nagtatrabaho pa din ng sobra sa Leni. Hindi naging yellowtard si Leni. Pero naging diehard basher si Bado,” wondered Falcis.
He then speculated that after Duterte’s landslide win, an offer came at Badoy which needed time to “ripen.”
“Pero hindi pwede tanggapin agad. Masyadong halata. Masyadong obvious. Ngayon, tinanggap na. Ngayon, hindi na pwede mag kunwari. Ngayon, hindi na kelangan mag kunwari,” said Falcis.
He ended his post quipping at the physician saying “Galawang Baduy. Galawang Duterte.”
Part of Badoy’s job is manning the medicine assistance programs of the social services department as it aids in the rehabilitation of drug dependents.
