Meet Nicole Coson, an heir of the Sy family and granddaughter of Henry Sy. She is the daughter of the current BDO Chairperson and SM Investment Corporation (SMIC) Vice Chairperson Teresita Sy- Coson.
Nicole is an artist currently living at working in London, where she graduated in Central Saint Martins with first degree honors in fine art. She works in a variety of mediums, but with a primary focus on analog printmaking methods and techniques.
Nicole made it clear that art is her business and pleasure. She studied in British School Manila back in high school and decided to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in London. She graduated in 2014.
She is still currently based in London but also ventured onto other artistic pursuits in Singapore in 2016. She started learning pottery at Jalan Bahar Clay Studios. Her current studio in London is in line with the top galleries in the world.
Nicole considered her shows in Manila as much more meaningful because some Filipino audiences judge her work as she is a granddaughter of the richest business tycoon in the Philippines. She works harder to create her own name.
When asked where she shops, according to Nicole, she became addicted to online shopping and have apps for High Street brands. She is currently in a relationship with her Danish boyfriend, Kristian, for four years.
